Our Support

Court Accompaniment

This service includes accompanying women to: Court, Garda Stations, Mediation and Solicitors. We also visit women who are in hospital because of domestic violence. Accompaniment needs to be requested in advance (at least 2 weeks) to enable us to provide the service for all women. Following the request, arrangements are made to meet the woman on the day. The woman is accompanied by staff/volunteers who will remain with her for some time afterwards.

The duration of court accompaniment work is very unpredictable; in our experience it is never less then three hours but can often take up to six to seven hours. The demand for this service remains constant over the year.
